I haven't written in a while, sorry, been having some PC problems. Also been busy expanding my U2 horizons keeping abreast of new rumors on the new song release scheduled for Sept. 24 an new CD due to hit stores Nov. 22 and Tour in the Spring.....been meeting some new fellow fans and friends, one in San Diego! I was so jazzed! Hey Shanda! So it's been a busy sit-on-my-butt-in-front-of-the-computer weekend again surfing, chatting and finding new friends! I cannot wait to flip the U2 calendar to SEPTEMBER this week and start savings for a concert fund! Some men are bigger weenies than others!
...and I was married to the BIGGEST one of them all. I swear just when you think it's all over something else pops up to bring it all up again. The kid's turned 18 making him a "legal" adult and deciding to go out on his own. Then Daddy Moneybags comes along suffocating the kid about college, even going so far as to order the books for the kid's classes! How do kids ever learn how to do things on their own and how to survive in the real world unless they are allowed to make their own decisions, fall down and pick themselves up? If they need help they know where to go to ask for help, right?! I know I am not crazy! So tonite the rat bastard gets all testy with me saying (please excuse the spelling and grammatical errors but I am sure you will understand)...."If your going to be this way you may never get this or any of the alimony I owe you since we have to split Nick's college expenses and that means EVERYTHING, including his room and board...so just back off...." I will back off alright....... and if "your" reading this--you know who you are--you won't know what hit you!

Where does the Time go?
Sheesh! I cannot believe how quickly this week passed. It was normally the most difficult bunch of days of the year for me but I got thru them alright this year. Perhaps a first! Aug 12th marked 11 yrs since my dad passed away and Aug 13 was my uncle's birthday, Aug 14 woulda been my 28th wedding anniv as well as I think my sister's 22nd, and today, Aug 15th was my dad's birthday. It's been a wonderfully relaxing weekend, lots of sunshine and rest. I am almost finished with Lance Armstrong's book "It's Not About the Bike". It's very inspirational, I swear that guy is bionic! My son and his friend Cara also surprised me with another visit yesterday when they just so happened to be at the beach so they called and stopped by. They walked the dog up the street and came back with Mexican food so we sat on the patio laughing, visiting and having a good time. It was nice. I sat down last night to follow some of the Olympics coverage and then to watch "50 First Dates" only to discover yet ANOTHER damn DVD I've bought on eBay that came from Malaysia doesn't work in my player. Damned Malaysians (sorry!). Now it's about time to start thinking about next week and I've got color on my roots then will do some cleaning, write out some bills, take the garbage out, change the sheets and scrape up something for dinner. And that is just about how exciting my life is! I had planned to read a script a friend sent me but haven't manage to get past page 3 without interruption. I was also checking out the band Scissor Sisters from NY since I've heard from a number of varying sources they will be opening for U2 on the 2005 tour. Not too bad actually, some interesting sounds and I haven't yet quite got my finger on how to describe them--a mixture of combined past sounds with a new electronic twist--eclectic for sure and some cool artwork on their album and website. Might have to go check them out late September at Cane's but I'll for sure pick up their CD this week. That is about it. I'll check back in and hope to have something much more exciting to share! My sister did another bike ride today. That's not a bullethole in her arm, it's a sunflower decal but she washed it off after her ride followed by speedskating club practice and before she takes her dogs out for a nice long walk. We're best friends but we're opposites--she is always on the go and I hate going anywhere!! That's Portland in the background and it is 95 degrees there again today. It's been a glorious sunny perfect day here in Ocean Beach and I have been inside again with the dog reading and listening to music, doing projects and cleaning plus my online time. I really need to go to the store and get soem dog food and make something for dinner. What a life I lead! I Was chatting with my friend Chris...I posted a picture of him with his poor crashed car below.....anyway he's a writer and has something new for me to read. I wish he'd get published and get famous someday cuz he writes some great stuff! Well, think I will sign off and go do something more creative while preparing for a long 5 day work week ahead of me, ugh! Cya!
